Congress protests against Advani's 'Jan Chetna Yatra' in Karnataka
Bangalore, Oct 30 : Over 500 Congress activists were taken into custody on Sunday after they held protests in the city and parts of Karnataka against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Lal Krishna Advani's 'Jan Chetna Yatra'.
The President of Karnataka-state unit of Youth Congress, Rizwan Arshad, took on to the streets here along with several other party activists to protest Advani's 'yatra'.
Protestors were seen wearing masks of tainted ministers and BJP leaders including that of former Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa, who is currently in judicial custody and cooling his heels behind the bars at the Bangalore Central Jail in alleged corruption cases.
Apart from Yeddyurappa, a couple of other tainted ministers are also behind the bars.
